Day 1: Cross The Congo Boarder & Take-up Adventure Hike to Nyiragongo Volcano

After breakfast at 6am from your lodge in Gisenyi, transfer to Congo boarder at Goma to cross at 7am. Go through the immigration and transfer to Kibati patrol post to catch up with Nyiragongo Adventure hike commencing at 10am.

In the company of the ranger guide and the porter, you trek this amazing volcano known to be the world’s most violent and largest lava lake.

The trek lasts about 5 hours but it can as well go up-to 5pm depending on one’s physical fitness.

Spend the evening on the top of the Mountain and gaze into the red lava lake after dark generating a lasting Congo adventure experience!

Day 2: Descend From Nyiragongo Volcano & Transfer to Kigali

Descend from Nyiragongo Volcano after breakfast and amazing natural views of the landscape.

Arrive at the starting point around 11am and transfer back to Goma where you will meet your Rwandan driver to transfer back to Gisenyi or direct to Kigali.
