Day 1: Arrive in Botswana – Maun & Transfer To The Hotel

Following a flight from your place of origin, you land in Maun the main gateway to the famous Okavango Delta. Our representative will be there for meet and greet after which you transfer to the lodge for relaxation and overnight

Day 2: Transfer From Maun to Okavango Delta & Do The Mokoro Experience

Following breakfast at your place of stay in Maun, you embark on the drive from Maun to Okavango Delta 65km about 1 hour drive.

You are welcomed by the 15,000km2 Okavango Delta one of the magical wonders of the world with clear waters that do not end up in an Ocean or Sea but lost through Evaporation, transpiration and percolation with very little flowing to Lake Ngami.

The delta features impressive vegetation including the wild date palm, the floating water lilies on lagoons and extensive papyrus along with being a habitat to 400 species of birds.

The thrilling motor boat or a local mokoro canoe cruise exploring the delta environment is quite rewarding.

The expert indigenous guide presents an authentic interpretation of the area, the lush floral species, bird species, the fauna including the water dwelling Hippos and Crocodiles not forgetting the grazers that draw to drink on the delta waters. Retire for overnight

Day 3: Whole-day Game Viewing in Okavango Delta

After breakfast at your lodge, you embark on the game drive to explore the extensive wildlife of Okavango Delta.

This encounter is best done in the dry season when the wild game draw from the hinterland to  feed on the lush green and drink water available in the Okavango Delta.

The whole game viewing experience allows one to gain possibilities of exploring a range of game including; Black and white Rhinos, the Buffaloes, Chobe bushbuck, lechwe, African Bush Elephant, Sitatunga, Tsessebe, Blue Wildebeest, Lion, Giraffe, Cheetah, Hyena, Leopard, Sable Antelope, Greater Kudu, Plains Zebra, Chacma Baboon, Warthog, mongoose, spotted genets, bush babies, monkeys, wild dog among other species.

The sights of birds also add on the experience and these include among others African Fish Eagle, Crested Crane, Pel’s Fishing Owl, Lilac-breasted Roller, Ostrich, Sacred Ibis and Hammerkop.  Retire for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 4: Transfer From Okavango Delta Back to Maun. Optional Scenic Flight Over The Delta

After breakfast, you are meant to travel back to Maun. However, you can consider taking an optional scenic flight to gain Arial views of the Delta Area which would also fly you to Maun.

The Arial views offer you a new, fresh and remarkable exploration of this magical delta. The transfer by flight would see you depart in the afternoon and this spending the entire morning at leisure.

Day 5 & 6: Transfer From Maum to Moremi Game Reserve & Explore It in Detail

After a relaxed breakfast, connect to the Moremi’s Wildlife Reserve.  Moremi Game Reserve – the only official protected area in the Okavango Delta and a community initiated one.

The Moremi Game Reserve features impressive savannah landscapes where a range of wild game including African buffalo, the Angolan Giraffe, the African Leopard, the Southwest African lion, the South African Cheetah, Jackal, the Hyena, the Impala, Cape wild dog and the Red Lechwe may be explored.

The two days in the area offer you a remarkable opportunity to explore it in detail including the beautiful bird sights like Winding Cisticola, African fish eagle, the hammerkop, the Sacred Ibis, Crested crane, Long-tailed Cormorants, the Pel’s fishing owl, the Lilac-breasted roller, Squacco Heron, Saddle-billed Stork, Ostrich, endangered Wattled Cranes, Malachite Kingfisher, African Pygmy-Goose, Red-billed Duck among others.

Day 7 & 8: Transfer From Moremi Game Reserve to Savuti For More Wild Game Viewing And The Tour of Savuti Channel

After breakfast, you embark on the transfer to Savute region to the south of Chobe National Park for extensive wild game viewing, sightseeing and birding.

The Savuti Region stretches to 5,000km2 sheltering a range of wildlife and bird species in its diverse environment.

The famous Savuti Channel is also another ideal attraction that is worth encountering on this visit. The channel flows periodically and dries for a considerable period for example, it had stopped in 1982 before it resumed flowing in 2008 and the water reached the Savuti Marsh in 2010.

When it is dry, the valley feature lush green grass that attract counts of wild game to feed on it and the predators that follow them including impala, giraffe, kudu, elephant, zebra, tsessebe, sable, roan, wildebeest, waterbuck, buffalo, elephant, eland, warthog, lion, hyena, bat-eared fox, jackal, cheetah, White rhino and wild dog among others.

The exploration to the Savuti Area also offers impressive bird sights including Carmine Bee-eaters, Pratincole, Migrant bird species like Pratincole, fish eagles, Carmine Bee-eaters, large secretary birds, Little quelea finches, Abdim’s Storks and kori bustards.

Day 9:  Transfer to Linyanti Reserve, Do Game Drive & Boat Cruise

After breakfast embark on the exploration of the Linyanti Reserve which is to the western direction of Savute Marsh in the Botswana’s third largest park – Chobe National Park.

The Linyanti Reserve stretches to 275,000 acres featuring the famous Savute Channel that flows through it.

The main Linyanti swamp is a habitat to 300 bird species. Upon arrival, you undertake a game drive in the rolling wilderness of Linyanti gaining possible sights of species like Elephants, lion, bat-eared fox, black-backed jackal, tsessebe, kudu, giraffe, impala, zebra, cheetah, hyena, Buffalo, wild dog among other species.

In the afternoon, you take on a boat ride on Duma Tau and the Kings Pool with the views of the Hippos and Crocodiles. Retire for dinner and overnight

Day 10 & 11: Transfer to Chobe River Front, Do Boat Cruise Along Chobe River & Extensive Game Drive in The Chobe Area

Transfer by flight from Savute Airstrip to Kasane International Airport to explore the Chobe River front area.

At the Airport, you are received by the driver guide who will transfer you to the Chobe National Park – the home to 15 various animal species and 440 bird species that thrive in the diverse mopane woodland, flood plain, mixed combretum, grasslands, sandveld along with riverine woodland.

Upon arrival, you undertake a boat ride on the famous Chobe River for amazing scenery, recreation and the views of the aquatic life like crocodiles and Hippos not forgetting the myriad of wild game that come to the river to drink water.

The Islands of Puku and Lekwe contain sweet grass which makes the elephants to cross the river to graze on it. The views of elephant herds crossing are very magical.

The second is dedicated for extensive wild game viewing in the Chobe Area exploring the range of wild game in detail.

A count of 50,000 elephants possibly the largest population on the African continent is estimated to be thriving in Chobe National Park and their numerous herds may not be missed on the game drive.

This comes along with possible sights of buffalo, lechwe, zebras, puku antelope, bushbuck, lions, leopard, Hyena, giraffe, kudu, impala, sable and roan antelope, warthog, baboons, monkeys, jackal along with waterbucks.

The bird sights include; Sacred ibis, African fish eagles, Egyptian Geese, pel’s Fishing Owl, Spur-winged Geese, carmine Bee-eaters, Martial Eagle, Fish Eagle, finfoot  among others
