Day 1 of the 13 Days Safari in Tanzania and Zanzibar Holiday: Arrive in Tanzania via Kilimanjaro International Airport and connect to the lodge for dinner and overnight

You arrive in Tanzania landing at the main Kilimanjaro International Airport where you will be courteously welcomed by our staff for meet and greet followed by briefing about the destination and the safari in particular after which you connect to the Hotel in Arusha for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 2 of the 13 Days Safari in Tanzania and Zanzibar Holiday: Drive to Arusha National Park, do game drive & a forest walk on the slopes of Mount Meru

You connect to Arusha National Park after breakfast for wildlife viewing experience in this protected area that lies in between Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. The Park was a site for the shooting of the Hollywood action film Hatari by Hardy Kruger and John Wayne. The sights of buffalo, zebra and giraffe in the savannah stretches may not be missed. The Picnic lunch can be arranged at Lake Momella with sights of Flamingos and overlooking Mount Kilimanjaro views. The habitat features the black and white colobus monkeys limited in range to Arusha on Tanzanian standards, Vervet and Sykes Monkeys, a range of antelopes and elusive leopards. A forest walk on the slopes of Mount Meru can also be incorporated to generate additional experience.

You depart Arusha National Park after breakfast to Lake Manyara National Park. The Park is positioned at the floor of the Rift Valley escarpment with remarkable beauty famous for the populations of the tree climbing lions. The game drive upon arrival offers possibilities of exploring tree climbing lions, the Elephants, Buffalo, Giraffe, Impala a,mong others. Lake Manyara also stand in the park is its beauty earned it a dub from Ernst Hemmingway as the loveliest lake in Africa. Retire for overnight

You depart Lake Manyara National Park after breakfast for Serengeti National Park about 4 hours drive exploring the magical scenic views of the Tanzania’s countryside. A stop will be made at Olduvai gorge where the world’s re-knnown anthropologists Dr. Lois and Mary Leakey attained considerable discoveries regarding the human evolution with the remarkable one being in 1959 when the handy man was discovered and 1960 for the Homohabilis. The site is historical in terms of archaeology and would definitely be of great interest along this route. You proceed to Serengeti National Park viewing various wild game in the evening with grazers enjoying the beautiful grassland and predators roaming around in search of prey. Day 5 of the 13 Days Safari in Tanzania and Zanzibar Holiday: Full day wildlife viewing in Serengeti National Park.

This whole day is designed to enable you explore the rolling savannah landscapes of Serengeti National Park in detail. The early game drive presents an opportunity to explore the nocturnal predators returning from hunting while other animals are viewed as they set out to graze and feed. Serengeti National Park features great counts of wild game including the Maasai lion, the Leopard, Elephant, Black Rhinos, the Buffalo, Defassa waterbuck, the Grant and Thompson Gazelle, the Eland, the Spotted Hyena, the Baboon, Stripped Hyena along with 500 species of birds including the Ostrich, Kori Bustard among others. The breakfast is parked for you to allow have a thrilling bush breakfast after the sun rise. The On the drive, you can also visit the Seronera documentation centre featuring the details of Serengeti National Park. Settle for lunch and in the afternoon, you can undertake another thrilling game drive or opt for a nature walk to visit the resident tribes who have lived in this are for years and have a detailed knowledge of plants and animals that surround them. You set off for the drive to Tarangire National Park standing as the third largest National Park in the destination Tanzania. Tarangire also features the largest population of elephants in the country. The beautiful huge baobab trees are among the magical features in the park. The Tarangire River pull counts of wild game since it is the only permanent water source in the park. The drive in the park presents opportunities to explore cheetah, the leopard, the lions and large herds of elephants.

Day 10 of the 13 Days Safari in Tanzania and Zanzibar Holiday: Tour the Stone town and its historical sites

This day is designed to allow you explore the history, culture and other human protected landscapes on the Island. You visit the Stone town – the main capital of Zanzibar presenting an opportunity to explore the historical sights of Zanzibar among which include the Makusurani graveyard the notable burial site for the Arab rulers; the House of Wonders- a four level building noted to be the first of its stature on the Island with electric lights. The Persian Public baths of Hamamni and Kidichi noted to be the first on the Island. The other sites include the Dunga Ruins – the palace ruins constructed by the rulers of the time along with Peace Museum that details the long history of Zanzibar.

Day 11 & 12 of the 13 Days Safari in Tanzania and Zanzibar Holiday: Recreation on Zanzibar Island. Explore the extensive beaches, sun bath & relax. Visit the Spice Farms and the forests of Jozani & Kidike.

The two days offer you a relaxed exploration of Zanzibar and ultimate recreation and relaxation. You visit the Spice and Coconut farms on the Island. Zanzibar is worldly known for the products like perfumes, cosmetics, the medicines and food items. These farms are the sources of the raw materials. The seaweed and salt farms can also be explored on request. You visit the Kidike root site and Jozani forest positioned in the north east of Zanzibar featuring extensive mangrove swamp, the Red Colobus Monkeys, 50 butter fly species and 40 bird species. The endangered Pemba Flying Fox thrives in the Kidike root forest as well. The Sandbank presents opportunities for snorkelling which the coastal marina presents magical diving encounters. The two days are ended by a dinner at Forodhani – the famous night market for food in the stone town. As it has been widely believed, the trip to Zanzibar without dinner at Forodhani is practically incomplete. Explore the market and choose from a range of food stuffs including the fresh grilled fish, the range of vegetables, meat and a range of sea food options.
