Tanzania Travel Requirements Tanzania Entry & Exit Requirements Passport A foreign national intending to travel to Tanzania has to be having a valid passport or any other recognized travel document with at least six (6) months validity issued by a given state or an International Organization recognized by the Tanzanian Government. The British passports extended for 12 months by the British embassies and consulates while the United Kingdom Emergency Travel Documents with six (6) months validity are accepted for entry, exist and airside transit.Tanzania Visa Tanzania being a sovereign state requires one to secure a visa if he / she is to be granted entry except the Visa exempt countries. The Visa can be secured from the Tanzanian Embassy or Consulate in the respective country in one working day or upon arrival at the selected points of entry. The Visa is granted after satisfying all the entry requirements and the duration is three (3) months from the date of entry provided the traveler has enough funds to sustain him / her and a return ticket. The Single Tourist Entry Visa for Tanzania is placed at $50 per person, Multiple Entry Visa and Single East African Tourist Visas at $100 per person and the Tourist Visa at $30.These are the only points which can issue visa on arrival and for other entry points; one has to be in possession of the Visa.
