Standing as the largest country in East Africa, 13th in Africa and 31st on global scale, Tanzania is indeed a vast country stretching to 947,303 sq km with a coastline of 800 sq km. In addition, Tanzania is very amazing African country as it holds two extreme elevation points on the continent with the highest being 5,895m above sea level on Mount Kilimanjaro and the lowest being 352m below sea level in Lake Tanganyika.
Tanzania is recognized world over regarding to her contribution to the account of human evolution. It is at Olduvai Gorge in the north of Tanzania that Dr Leakey discovered the skull of early man in the year 1960 adding substantively to the account. This along with wildlife sites and the Marina ecosystem combine to make safaris in Tanzania worth undertaking.
