Kenya Entry and Exit Requirements Passport

One has to be in possession of a valid passport issued by the respective country of origin. This passport must have at least six (6) months of functionality from the proposed date of entry into Kenya. The passport should have a clean blank page where the Visa stamp can be put. Kenya also accepts the British passports with 12 month period extension by the British embassies and consulates under the measures established in the year 2014. Also, the United Kingdom Emergency Travel Documents (ETDs) can be used to enter and exit Kenya along with Airside transit but these have to valid for six (6) months as well. Other documents like the Seaman’s Discharge Book are also accepted.

Kenya Visa

Kenya offers online Visa application arrangement from which the unique confirmation number is given to the respective persons. However, manual application can as well be used at the Kenyan Embassy or Consulate in the respective country. The Single Tourist Visa for Kenya costs $50 per person and is valid for 90 days from the date of entry. Other Kenya Visas include; Multiple Entry priced at $100, Single Transit Visa valid for 3 days priced at $20 and the East African Single Tourist Visa priced at $100 allowing one to visit the destinations of Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda for a period of 90 days without paying again. However, children below 16 years travelling with their parents are waived of the Visa fees. The Kenya Visa application process takes a maximum of fourteen (14) working days from the date of application and the Single tourist visa if granted is limited to leisure and visiting family and friends thus avoiding any form of work.
